Corrections policy

Mistakes happen. When ours do, we fix them visibly. Here’s how the process works, and the log of every correction we’ve made.

How we handle corrections

  1. Anyone can report. Spotted an error? Email corrections@askprogambler.com with the URL and what’s wrong. Reader, source, or operator — we treat all reports equally.
  2. We verify within 48 hours. Editor checks the original source, recalculates if needed, consults the original author.
  3. If the error is real:
    • Correct the original article inline (don’t hide changes)
    • Add a correction note at the top of the article with date and detail
    • Add the correction to the public log below
    • If the error materially changed a TrustRank score, re-run the calculation and update
    • If the error harmed an operator or person’s reputation, we email them directly
  4. If the error is not real: We respond to the reporter explaining why we believe the original was correct, with citations.

Severity levels

Critical:
Error materially affects a TrustRank score, falsely implicates an operator in wrongdoing, or could mislead a player’s deposit decision. Correction issued within 24 hours.
Major:
Factual error in a verifiable claim (license number, payout time, ownership). Correction issued within 72 hours.
Minor:
Spelling, grammar, formatting, or non-material factual error (e.g. wrong year a casino launched). Corrected silently in next edit cycle but logged.

Article stated “avg payout time 38 minutes”. After re-test we confirmed avg is 1 min 8 sec via DuitNow. The 38-minute figure was from a USDT test 6 months prior and should not have been generalised. TrustRank recalculated upward by 0.3.

Stale content policy

Casino reviews older than 90 days are flagged with “may be outdated” warnings if not re-audited. We aim to re-audit every reviewed casino quarterly. Articles that can’t be kept current are unpublished rather than left to mislead.

Removed articles

We do not delete articles to hide errors. If we remove an article entirely, we publish a redirect explaining why. Since 2018, 3 articles have been entirely removed (all involved unverified claims about specific operators that we couldn’t substantiate post-publication).

Total corrections issued since March 2018: 47 (12 critical, 18 major, 17 minor). Full historical log available on request.
